Gym time

Only have time for a short one today so here goes.

Ok so i recently started back to the gym and i go around 4-5 times a week as i am trying to get back in to shape as quick as possible. The only this is i have the motivation to keep going week in week out but after 3-4 weeks of being back i am see little improvement for the amount of time i spend.
I have looked around on the internet for routines to follow but half of them are like "GET RIPPED IN 3 WEEKS" which is complete crap, any of you guys out there got any tips for exercise in and out of the gym?

  1. It takes a long time to get ripped, supplements help but can only do so much.

  2. Slow progression mate - If you go overboard you'll start to stop being bothered. Here's what I would do for the first month of training if you never bother want to be at the gym.

    1) Cycle 30 minutes day for cardio/leg strength
    2) Run 6k every 2 days
    3) Press ups (3 set x 15)
    4) Bicep Curls (3 set x 15) + Raises (3 set x 15) at 10kg
    5) Sit ups and bicycle motions

Then after doing this for about a month or so I go to the gym and lift heavy - Good way to see results/feel results, then get into the big stuff.

Then again, I have no idea of your physical condition so I can only say what works for me!

    Good luck with your blog

    Mike.

  4. yea i going to the gym and i have seen my arms become more solid and doing 60 sit ups has been the best. Oh and the best natural thing to drink after your workout is chocolate milk. It is healthy and gives your muscles mass.

  7. Find a buddy to go with. When I go with my friends its always a competition to see who can do the most weight, and since we've been lifting together for years we're real close. Great motivation; keep working out, no pain no gain.

  14. Find a weight you can do easily and do 10 reps. Then go up a step (add 10 lbs) do 8 reps
continue increasing weight and decreasing reps, if your 1 rep set is still light, you can gauge your next day's starting weight.

  15. being ripped has more to do with bodyfat, which means a crazy diet

for bulking, eat as many carbs as you can and lift as heavy as you can, it's about explosive lifting in ~40m - 1hr sessions

    hope i helped!
